- Hearing for new Immigration Act (Mainly par. 6-19, par. 6-29 and par. 10-7): the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion (AID) has informed of new regulations accompanying the new Immigration Law valid as of 1 January 2010. According to the new regulations, international students that have completed their education in Norway can apply for a permit to stay in Norway and search for a job for up to six months. - Invitation to National Assembly in Narvik - Everybody are cordially invited to participate in ISU of Norway National Assembly (NA ii09) that is taking place in Narvik from 30th of October to 1st of November 2009, October 6th 2009.

- No more deposit for international students in Stavanger - The Board of Studentsamskipsnaden in Stavanger (SiS) has decided to end the practice of requesting a deposit from international students renting student housing as of January 2010, Rogaland Avis, September 21st 2009.
- Finally a solution for quota students Yearly 300-400 new Quota students, but do not receive financial aid the first two months because they need a Norwegian social security number. September 21st 2009.
- Towards a crisis in student housing - only 14,66% of the students are offered student housing and in 2013 the number of students will probably have increased with 80 000 compared to today. July 30th 2009.

- Norway’s two student organizations will merge in 2010 - The two umbrella student organizations, NSU and StL, representing all students of universities and university colleges respectively, voted to merge. April 29th 2009.
